Our Purpose

• We know God through genuine worship of Him & consistent learning about Him from the Bible.  The Sunday morning experience of involvement in a worship service and Bible study group enables a disciple of Jesus to know God.
• We love people by gathering in community to pray, learn and care for one another.  Meeting with others in a Life Group enables a disciple of Jesus to learn to love people.
• We serve both by ministry that glorifies God and meets every need of people.  Being involved with a ministry team enables a disciple of Jesus to serve both God and people.

 We Believe. . .

• . . . that the Bible was written by man as inspired by God and, therefore, we accept it in all matters of faith and practice - 2 Timothy 3:16-17.
  
• . . . that salvation is:
  
  • By grace - Ephesians 2:8-9
    We are all separated from God because of our sin (Romans 3:23), but God loves us (John 3:16-17) and Jesus Christ, the Son of God, paid the penalty of our sin for us (1 Peter 3:18) and rose from the dead (Romans 6:8-9).
    
  • Through faith - Ephesians 2:8; Colossians 2:12
    Our faith is expressed as genuine by trusting Him, confessing our trust (Romans 10:9-10), and repenting of our sin (Acts 2:38).
    
  • In baptism - Colossians 2:12
    God has promised to give us new life as we are "buried in" and "raised out" of water, just as Christ was buried in the ground and rose from the dead (Romans 6:4).
    
  • For good works - Ephesians 2:10
    We are not saved by our works, but in Christ we are empowered to serve Him (Romans 6:12-14; James 2:14-26).
