Supported Missions and Other Affiliations
Through its annual budget, Ridgeview Christian Church regularly supports the missions below (ten percent of the previous year's offering total is built into the next year's budget for missions and local benevolence organizations). Ridgeview also accepts offerings and gifts designated to go directly to these and other approved missions. Over the past several years, Ridgeview's mission-giving has been between 20-25% of all giving each year.
Books and More Library in Jordan- James Bacus
Books and More Jordan is the only public lending library in the country of Jordan that is open to both children and adults. It opened in 2010. James served as the youth minister at Ridgeview in the early 2000s. Outreach International- Zach & Alyssa Murphy Zach and Alyssa serve with a church in Germany, focusing on reaching the lost in a unique mission field. They have family who attend Ridgeview Christian Church. Christian Campus Fellowship (CCF) - Missouri S & T Christian Campus Fellowship exists to reach non-believing students, nurture fellowship among believers, deepen knowledge of and love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and encourage one another to serve and worship God. Gasconade Christian Service Camp Our region's Christian camp for children in grades 2 and up. Ridgeview Christian Church youth attend here over the summer. CRU (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ) - Andrew and Julie Plasse Andrew and Julie are digital content creators for Cru. An except from a recent newsletter: "Digital tools and virtual outreaches have never been more important or effective . . . one of Cru's outreach websites saw almost 7 million hits during the month of May alone." Andrew grew up at Ridgeview Christian Church. Shiloh Christian Children's Ranch - Ken and Beth Penfield The mission of Shiloh Christian Children's Ranch is to provide Christian homes for abused, neglected, and other at-risk children and to meet the spiritual, emotional, educational, social, and physical needs of each child. Ken Penfield grew up at Ridgeview Christian Church. Ken and Beth serve as homeparents. Hippo Valley Christian Mission To evangelize Zimbabwe reaching the whole person for Christ; the body, mind and soul through healthcare, schools and the Church. Adam Bloch spent a month there, working with and observing the mission, in 2022. Three:18 Ministries - Tory and Kara Satter Tory and Kara Satter have been working full time as missionaries to the San Carlos Apache Nation since March 2004. Ridgeview's youth group takes regular short-term mission trips to help this organization. |
Local Benevolence Help:
GRACE (Greater Rolla Area Charitable Enterprise) GRACE is a local benevolence organization, providing various supports for individuals and families in need. Each month, a portion of Ridgeview's missions giving is given to GRACE. Hope Alliance of Missouri Founded by Ridgeview members, the Hope Alliance of Missouri has the mission to serve and empower those in our community impacted by a lack of resources. An organization dedicated to providing a loving and stable home for at-risk kids. Ridgeview sends Christmas presents here each year. Casas Por Cristo Ridgeview supports an annual trip to Casas Por Cristo. Casas Por Cristo builds homes for the homeless in Juarez, Mexico. CIY (Christ in Youth) Youth conferences and retreats. Ridgeview sends students to multiple CIY conferences each year. It is a voluntary time of fellowship and encouragement. |
